Azuka is a Discord bot, offered free and run by one person. These are the terms it is offered under. They are short because the arrangement is simple: use it, and if it stops suiting you, remove it.

Using Azuka means accepting this

Adding Azuka to a server, or running one of its commands, means you accept these terms. If you do not, remove the bot or stop using it — that is the whole remedy, and it takes effect immediately.

You must also follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Anything they forbid is forbidden here, and Discord's age requirement applies: at least 13, or older where local law says so.

What you can expect

• Azuka is free. There is nothing to pay and nothing to subscribe to.
• It is offered as it is, with no guarantee of uptime, correctness or availability.
• Commands may change or be removed. Features may be added. The bot may be restarted, taken offline, or discontinued.
• Data lookups come from other people's APIs — osu!, Steam, Roblox and the rest — and are only as accurate and as available as those services are.

What is expected of you

Do not:

• use Azuka to harass, abuse, deceive or harm anyone;
• use it to break Discord's rules or any applicable law;
• attempt to disrupt it — flooding commands, abusing rate limits, or deliberately trying to break or overload it;
• try to gain access to parts of it that are not yours, including other servers' settings or the owner-only commands;
• scrape, resell or redistribute what it produces as though it were your own service.

Moderation features exist to help servers enforce their own rules. Using them to target someone unfairly is between you and your server — but doing it through Azuka may get the bot removed from that server.

If you run a server

Enabling a feature affects everyone in your server, not just you. Turning on the audit log means members' messages are recorded to a channel you chose; turning on the score-screenshot reader means images posted there are read. Telling your members what you have enabled is your responsibility, not the bot's.

You are also responsible for who you give moderator permissions to. Azuka checks role hierarchy before acting, but it cannot judge intent.

Your data

What is stored, what is only read, how long it is kept and how to delete it is all in the privacy policy. In short: message content and Spotify status are never written to disk, and /privacy forget deletes what is.

Removal and suspension

Azuka can be removed from any server, and any user can be blocked from using it, at any time and without notice — normally for abuse, for attempts to break it, or where continuing would put the bot's Discord account at risk.

You can end this arrangement whenever you like by removing the bot. Its stored data for that server can then be deleted on request.

No warranty, and limited liability

Azuka is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. It may be unavailable, it may be wrong, and it may lose data.

To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from using it — including lost data, lost messages, moderation actions taken through it, or anything that follows from it being unavailable or mistaken. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top changes with them, and that date is the only claim made here about currency — there is no announcement channel, so promising a notification would be promising something that does not exist. Continuing to use Azuka after a change means accepting it.
